About us:
ILAN Science Team is an Israeli TLEs hunting project.
The sprite campaign began in 2005. Till now, we caught more then 100 TLEs (Sprites, Elves).
Our research is focusing on Modeling, measuring and quantifying electromagnetic radiation produced by lightning associated with Transient Luminous Events (TLE's).
We have three stations:
* Tel Aviv Univeristy, Tel Aviv, Israel.
* The Hebrew Univeristy, Jerusalem, Isreal.
* Wise Observatory, Mitzpe Ramon, Israel.
In this Blog we publish our results for other to see. other information can be found in our University's website:

ReplyDeleteThe title reads "Hidden cities of light" by Y. Yair published in Galileo Magazine, December 2008 issue. The name is derived from Italo Calvino's immortal novel "Hidden Cities".
